  • How long will it take to sell my royalties and receive my lump-sum payment?
We perform a quick title verification on all properties and can close many transactions within 2 days.
  • How does Lumberjack determine an offer amount?
We have access to up-to-date reserve, engineering and production data for Texas and the entire U.S. With this data and the services of qualified petroleum engineers and geologist, we are able to determine the expected recovery from existing wells and the likelihood of future drilling and future production. Coupled with our energy market analysis and expected future commodity prices, we are able to aggressively price your oil and gas assets.
  • What are the cost to me if I choose to complete a sell with Lumberjack?
All closings are done in-house at no cost to the seller. Upon request, we will gladly reimburse sellers the expense of a notary and/or mailing documents to Lumberjack.
  • These minerals have been in my family line a long time. Why should I even consider selling them?
Mineral interests carry little to no sentimental value. We do not discredit the efforts and work your ancestor performed when your family acquired these minerals, but they do not carry the memories associated with dad's favorite hunting knife or grandmother's prized silverware. Whether acquired through investment or inheritance, mineral and royalty value are based solely on any existing royalty payments or expected future lease bonuses and royalties.
  • Do I have to sell 100% of my interest?
NO! Many sellers decide to sell only a portion of their interest. "Taking chips off the table" is as viable a strategy in a poker game as it is managing mineral and royalty assets.
  • If I sell my minerals to you, do I have to pay back the bonus money I was paid to execute an Oil and Gas lease?"
Any previously received lease bonuses or paid royalties are yours to keep.
  • Why do my oil and gas royalty checks vary from month-to-month?
Production from wells is not consistent; neither is the price at which oil and gas is sold. These variables create the volatility associated with royalty checks. What can be guaranteed is production from a well will decrease over-time.
  • If I receive an evaluation or offer, does that mean I am obligated to sell?"
All of our offers and evaluations are made without obligation to the seller. Once an offer is accepted in writing, solely due to the expenses involved with title verification, you would be obligated to sell.
  • How do I sell my minerals to Lumberjack?
CONTACT US! Once we have agreed on a price, we will ask you to sign a Purchase and Sell Agreement, called a PSA. Once we have the signed PSA, we will begin the title verification process. When title work is completed, we will send you a Mineral and Royalty Conveyance for you to sign in the presence of a notary public. When we receive the properly executed conveyance, we will mail you a check for the agreed price. It is quick and easy!
